MetroDukes Chapter

With almost 30,000 alumni in the Metro DC area, the MetroDukes Chapter is the largest chapter of JMU alumni, with open membership to all JMU alumni who live within a 30-mile radius of Washington, D.C.’s city center.

We are driven by the JMU Alumni Association's mission to engage alumni and cultivate involvement and investment in JMU. Our goals are to provide unique opportunities and events for JMU alumni in the metro DC area, encourage giving back to JMU, and remind our alumni why JMU holds such a special place in so many of our hearts.

Last year alone, we held over 30 events catered to athletics, networking, community service, and general social gatherings. Each year, we also organize a mentorship program allowing our alumni to connect with students at JMU, as well as a scholarship that gives over $4,000 to two incoming JMU freshmen from our area!

Our goal is to serve as your hometown connection to JMU. If you've never been to a MetroDukes event, or haven't been in a while, our doors and our activities are open to you. Come check us out!
