Dinner with 12 Dukes
The concept is simple- sit down with 12 strangers, walk away with 12 friends. Through Dinner with 12 Dukes, JMU alumni, faculty, and staff all over the world can host students either at their homes or at local restaurants. "Strangers" come together in a warm, friendly environment for good food, conversation, and camaraderie; and quickly become friends.
New Friends, New JMU Memories
At every dinner, students and hosts may begin an evening as strangers and leave as friends. Each event offers students the opportunity to network with JMU alumni, ask questions about life after college, and interact with professors and staff beyond the classroom.
Want to host a Dinner?
Let us know you'd like to host, and plan the dinner itself. Love a casual backyard barbecue? Great! Prefer a candlelight formal meal in the dining room? That's great too! The type of dinner experience you create is entirely up to you.
The JMU Alumni Association handles all logistics including marketing to students, and facilitating communication between students and hosts.
As the host, you'll decide the details, including your preferred group size, school audience preference, cohosts, faculty guests, and of course, the menu.
We'd love to have you join us as a dinner host. Email Emma Maynard for more information.
