"Can't tell you enough what a great job YOU did, and how much all of us at the TKE reunion appreciate all the support JMU provided. Having done a lot of the planning for our 40th reunion a few years back, I know what you were dealing with - and we were just one of many. Thanks again!"
Planning a reunion for Homecoming? The Office of Alumni Relations is ready to help! We are now planning for Homecoming 2017 ~ sounds a long way off, but it's not! Alumni Relations will work with your reunion group to create a day or weekend of activities suited just for you. We can send an interest survey, dedicated emails, secure hotel and football ticket blocks as well as help you plan events specific to your group. When you submit this request, it is to participate on the reunion committee for your group. A reunion is only successful if we have a great committee behind it.
Steps to a Successful Reunion
1. Know the planning timeline. See Dates and Deadlines below.
2. Create a planning committee. Successful reunions have 4-10 alumni on their committee. The Office of Alumni Relations can assist with committee formulation.
3. Make calls, send emails/texts, use your social media to encourage your classmates to come back for your reunion weekend.
4. Attend the reunion weekend and bring two classmates.
5. Have fun!
